English Gardens and Stately Homes

September 8 - 14, 2022

Join us on a quintessentially British adventure as we explore some of the finest gardens and houses in North Yorkshire and the Lake District, nestled amongst beautiful countryside. This six night trip will take in the gardens designed by 18th landscape architects Capability Brown and Humphry Repton, along with English treasures including Scampston Hall, Castle Howard, Mulgrave Castle, Newby Hall, Hutton-in-the-Forest, Levens Hall and others. Our group will have privileged access, welcomed by the private owners or curators of the magnificent properties.

We will also travel along one of Europe’s most scenic railway routes – Settle to Carlisle – and take a private tour of Lake Windermere on board a restored heritage steamboat. To complete this charming English getaway, we will be staying at the exceptional Middlethorpe Hall and Storrs Hall, regarded as two of England’s finest country house hotels.

“It was a pleasure working with Karen, she is a hard worker and produced an exceptional itinerary. The trip was a great success; Karen’s diligence insured that all ran smoothly. She was attentive to the participants needs and able to foster a great atmosphere among these people who did not know each other before. Thanks to Karen’s commitment and dynamism the trip ran very smoothly. This was confirmed by the excellent evaluations received from the participants. Without her vision and her sense of initiative, Christie’s Education would not have been able to run such a successful event”
